Central and Eastern Europe has undergone enormous socio-economic transformations in the past 25 years. Despite these achievements, many countries face significant labour market challenges, such as slow job creation, skills mismatch and inequalities. Technological innovations, demographic shifts, climate change and globalisation call for increased competitiveness, productivity and innovation capacity. Investment in skills development plays a vital role in tackling these challenges. ILO supports constituents and stakeholders in realizing effective and sustainable skills development systems.

The ILO’s Skills for Employment Global Public-Private Knowledge Sharing Platform (Global KSP)  is a unique repository for information on TVET and the development of professional skills. It provides policy makers and practitioners with quick access to succinct information, best practice, in-depth research and practical tools. The focus lies on “what works!” to promote employability through skills development and TVET.

The Global KSP  is a collaborative platform that pools together knowledge from different international agencies, governments, employers’ and workers’ organisation. It was initiated by the ILO and benefits from collaboration of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and the World Bank. Take a virtual tour,  to see how the platform works.

The Pyramid of Knowledge Products offers a choice of more than 1300 knowledge products in six different languages, out of which 95 cover one or several countries in the CEE region. They are organised along the following structure:
